One Pine Cone Herbal Soap Design

One of the newest to my collection is the One Pine Cone Herbal Soap Design. There are choices of one, two and four pine cones, but my favorite has to be this one. I used therapeutic grade essential oils of myrrh with my own blend of forest scents. It is very rich and earthy, perfect for the winter months.

Oregon Swallowtail Butterfly Soap

While making a butterfly soap, I decided to experiment and by accident, came up with something amazing. Earlier this summer, an Oregon Swallowtail butterfly came to visit me in the yard. (See my earlier blog.) I tried to copy it and although the original did not turn it, this soap looks far better than I ever imagined.

Lavender Festival in Oregon

Lavender is celebrated here in Oregon on the second weekend in July. As always, I cannot resist going to the farms and smelling the beautiful lavender. This year, I made a soap using 7 different varieties of Lavendula Angustafolia. It is in the shape of a life saver--just what Lavender is!

Nature Inspires Me!

This morning I was enjoying my garden, when I came across this incredible butterfly. It is a Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly, the Oregon State insect. I am amazed how closely it allowed me to get to it.

I use nature as inspiration for my herbal soaps. I have a butterfly soap in the Creatures Land and Sea collection. Take a look when you can.
